Amb. Friday Honoured as ‘Grand Duchess’ of Ikenga Abiama Dynasty

The Board of Trustee, BOT and Executive of Ikenga Dynasty Foundation has formally approved the conferment of Her Royal Eminence, Chief Mrs. Lynda Chukwudumebi Friday with the Honorary Title of the Grand Duchess, Consul, of Ikenga Dynasty of Igboland, Federal Republic of Nigeria in recognition of her outstanding contributions towards promotion of Igbo socio-cultural heritage and progress around the globe.

The appointment was confirmed in a letter dated September 12, 2024.

An official statement signed by the Founder and Chairperson of Ikenga Abiama Dynasty Foundation, Amb. Dr. Uba Iwunwa, Queen Ugobeze, described Ambassador Mrs. Friday as a woman with excellent track records in championing the cause of literacy and women empowerment in the society. 

“We decided to honour her because of what she has done and continue to do for the greater goal of Igbo women both at home and in diaspora. She is someone I respect and admire her efforts in making the society a better place. 

Her dedication to her community and Igbo culture shines through in her tireless efforts to uplift and empower Igbo Women.

Ambassador (Chief) Mrs. Lynda Chukwudumebi Friday, hails from Alaoji-Ukpakiri Village in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, lives and work in Umuahia as a staff of Abia State Ministry of Education. She is also a distinguished member of the Imperial Royal Council for Nigeria Empire of David.

Being a Woman of Faith and Education, Chief Amb Lynda Chukwudumebi Friday bags a B.Ed degree in Linguistics from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, demonstrating her commitment to education and intellectual pursuits.  

She holds the esteemed title of Ugo Nwanyi Ndi Igbo Ji Aga Mba 1, bestowed upon her by Obieziokwu, the Royal Throne of HRM Eze Chuks Jude Ihenetu, Eze Ohazurume 1, Ezeigbo Ghana.

As a Champion for Igbo Women, and being someone driven by a deep love for humanity, Chief Amb Friday established the Great AdaIgbo Forum Worldwide in 2020.  

This Non-Governmental Organization serves as a powerful platform to Unite Igbo women, Fostering a sense of community and shared purpose; Promote peace and progress, working towards a brighter future for all Igbo women as well as provide support for the growth of small-scale businesses, empowering Igbo women economically.

“This woman of positive influence is a devout Christian and a proud daughter of Igbo Land, embodying the values of faith, community, and cultural heritage”, Uba adds.
