The Board of Trustee and Executive of Ikenga Abiama Dynasty Foundation has formally approved the appointment of His Imperial Royal Majesty, Prof Dr Mwami (King) Mayongo Lubelo MELEK YSPH MPEMBE II as a Royal Patriarch, Commander of Royal Treaty of Ikenga Dynasty of Igboland, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Mpembe’s appointment was confirmed in a royal seal dated 20th September 2024.
Founder and Chairperson of Ikenga Abiama Dynasty Foundation, Amb. Dr. Uba Iwunwa, Queen Ugobeze, explained in an official statement that King Mpembe’s appointment was in recognition of his passion, commitment towards the foundation’s humanitarian mission as well as his outstanding contributions to the promotion of tourism and African culture.
“First we are delighted to partner with the king and people of Amampembe Continental Royal Kingdom in Phuthaditjhaba, Free State Province of South Africa, the land richly endowed with tourism attractions such as the Golden Gate National Park, Game Reserve etc.
“We consider this appointment as our extension of hands of fellowship in our efforts to reunite the peace-loving and progressive minded ancestral kingdoms in Africa and across the world to forge a common front towards building a better world.
“A look at his track records since ascention of the revered throne as Mpembe II clearly indicates that Africa stands a better chance of making a major headway with such young, dynamic and visionary monarchs that connects with the ancestral spirit of peace, unity and love beyond their kingdoms.
“The Kingdom of AmaMpembe stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of unity, humanitarian projects and heritage preservation which Ikenga Abiama Dynasty Foundation of Igboland stands for.
“And we believe that with Mpembe II as our Commander of Royal Treaty of our great organization, we stand greater chance of charting a course towards the holistic development of Pan African Communities and global peace.
